I created this painting after one of our "barn" dances last summer. I tried to get the feel of being right in the dance and the idea that we were all intensely "in the moment"...all of us...tall, short, round, skinny, young and old sharing a common experience. I think the gentleman in the lower right part of the painting is looking for a partner to dance with and the white shirted person is pretty happy with himself!

One of about 10 or so paintings that I am currently developing. I plan to darken the wall on the right, expand the window frame, make the light shade larger and brighter and I may add shading from the lamp as if lit. It might be fun to make a vibrant sunset to be seen through the window and to add more shadows from that as well. Comments?

Watching: I am not sure about this title. The painting came from somewhere unconscious. I started with primary colors in random shapes and it evolved to this.

Last Night at Do Re Mi.  This was the last night at Do Re Mi, a dance club in Montreal.  We went as a group to enjoy the fabulous retro 50's atmosphere for the last time.  It closed the following day.  Sold
